* Postgraduate student Wang Likui and co-workers succeeded in growing two types of particles using one type of seeds. The work was published in Angewandte Chemie International Edition (see the PDF file) and selected as a VIP.
* Thompson ESI identifies our work as a fast moving front in July 07. See the interview.
* Prof Zhao serves as a member of the International Advisory Editorial Board of Journal of Materials Chemistry.
* According to a recent editorial of the editor of Journal of Materials Chemistry, two of our papers are among "Top 10" most accessed articles since 2006.
* Prof Zhao serves Journal of Porous Materials as an editorial board member.
* Nature Nanotechnology highlights our work on fabrication of colloidal spheres with nanoholes, which is also a hot communication paper published in Journal of Materials Chemistry and enjoyed "Top 10" most downloaded article in both May and June of 2006.
* The work on 3D colloidal crystals with a dual periodicity published in Langmuir is highlighted by Nature Publishing Group Materials Update (see the highlight).
* A themed issue of Journal of Materials Chemistry on Novel Porous Materials for Emerging Applications, edited by Professor George Zhao, has just been published (see the editorial). The issue contains 6 review articles from leading researchers which cover a range of types and applications of porous materials. |
